Near the border of the mightiest kingdoms in the land, two great cities are about to clash. However, they must first fight their way through the Forest of Hanar. To the North is the settlement of Tyrsis led by a mighty warrior by the name of Lothar. His skills with the sword and a horse are legendary and so his courage and leadership. But let us not forget the tyrant in the South. He commands the armies of Al-quadur and his name is Gul'dan. This powerful warlock rides an undead steed and weilds the arcane magicks of his mysterious homeland. When these two warriors clash, the battle will be forever remembered and passed down to generations to come. You are the king of one of these kingdoms and you have come to oversee the first battle between your kingdom and the one on the other side of the Hanar.
The forest is laid with adversity. First, the pesky woodland elves lurk around nearly every tree, ready to defend their forest from an ill-fated invader. There is also the matter of the Haunted Swamp to the northeast where warriors go in, but rarely come out. Just south of that is the majestic mountain of Killeshan. However not all is at it seems here for an evil troll by the name Zul'jin lurks on this rock and his company of axe-wielding trolls are ready to defend it at any cost.
Still, not all in the forest is utterly evil and ready to attack you on sight. The mages of Paranor reside in a mysterious grove where they have built a tower next to a strange glowing stone which they feel will unlock the secrets of magick itself. The dwarven town of Kled is headed by a noble human knight by the name of Uther Lightbringer. These hardy dwarves enjoy a peaceful life near the river of Sys. However, they would be ready and willing to fight for their kingdom if asked. Then there is the ogre village of Cho'gall. Named after it's chieftan, this village has managed to stay alive over the years in seclusion, never reaching toward the outside world. Yet Cho'gall, even in his complete arrogance, may be persuaded to join your cause.
Bear in mind always that not everything in the forest is as pristine as the pines which grow in it. Always be on the look-out and watch who you try to make allies with for the enemy may have gotten to them first. As the harbinger of what may be a colossal war between your two kingdoms, you will determine who will strike the first blow.
